New Art Journal

I started another Art Journal and in this one I plan do projects that take a bit of time. The first page I decided to do I used acrylic paints stencils dylusion white paint heavy gel matte.

I really love the magenta color and the yellow contrast. I added the matte heavy gel.

When the gel dried the gel areas remained slightly opaque. I added acrylic green paint and wiped it of and I also wipe some of the paint off and I sort of liked it but I then decided to add more paint.

I decided to add white paint and when it slightly dried I wiped some of the paint off and it dulled the green  I liked it better. I left the journal page as is. I do like it.

My Index Cards

Even though I have not been posting my Index Cards I have been making them. Just haven't had the chance to post them. So here it goes there are 14 new ones. I can not remember what I did with all of them but I will try.

ICAD2 #7

This card I wasn't sure what I was going to do I started with some dry embossing using Tim Holtz Embossing Folder then added red paint. I stenciled using a stencil I had made from using a Ton Holtz Sissix Die. I continued to add paint and added some buttons until I got the texture and look I wanted. I then coated the whole card in Golden Reg Gel gloss after it dried I finished by spraying with Perfect Pearls Mist.

ICAD2 #8

I added small amounts of Golden Crackle Paste  and let dry. I then used Acrylic Inks to paint the card. Added a stamp Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps

IACD2 #9

Used Tim Holtz Sizzix Die and then stamped with a Stampin' Up sewing pattern stamp. I had already painted the background with acrylic paint then added the die and the misted with Perfect pearls

ICAD2 #10
This card was first painted with acrylic paint then a stencil was placed on the card and Golden Clear Tar Gel was applied and let to dry. Blue paint was then applied and wiped off the areas where the clear tar was applied. I then cut out the dress-form and buttons from Tim Holts Sizzix Die and applied inks to the dress form and buttons. I attached the buttons and dress form  with the Clear Tar Gel and put a coat over the whole card. I love Clear Tar Gel!!

 ICAD2 #11

Used watercolour paint and stencils to colour the card.  Applied embellishments. The thread spool was cut from the Tim Holtz Sizzix Die I used earlier.

ICAD2 #12

Card was dry embossed with Tim Holtz Embossing Folder then coloured using acrylic inks I used Metallic Rub On Paste to give it the shine and to show of the embossed areas.

ICAD2 #13
Used Acrylic Inks to first colour the card then with Golden Heavy Body Acrylic Gold stenciled using The Crafters Workshop 6x6 Chevron. Then stamped Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamp Stuff to Say saying.

ICAD2 #14

Coloured the card with the Acrylic inks again. I love using acrylic inks they act like watercolour paint when you apply them but they do not wash out like watercolours. Then with Regular Gel Medium stenciled using Dylusion Stencil Number Jumble. The tag was made with Tim Holtz Sizzix Die and stamped with the Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamp Stuff to Say. I found the clock in my stash not sure were it came from.

ICAD2 #15

I covered the card with scrapbook paper and coloured tissue paper using Ranger Melt Art Beeswax  and stamped with Dylusion stamps.

ICAD2 #16
Coloured with New Summer Tim Holtz Distress Inks added a Hero Arts script  stamp inked with gold paint. and added Dylusion Stamps

ICAD2 #17
Taped the card with Idea-ology Tissue Tape misted with Adirondack Color Wash and stamped using Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps with Adirondack Ink Pad.

ICAD2 #18
Covered card with Golden Crackle Paste (really not fond of this) let dry then coloured with Adirondack Color Wash used Crafters Workshop Stencil and red acrylic paint. Stamped with Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps Stuff to Say.

ICAD2 #19
Colored with Pan Pastels and used Crafters Workshop Stencils

ICAD2 #20
I use pan pastels and an old stencil I found coloured the image and tried to fix it up by adding Perfect Pearl Mist, Gell Pens and Gold Pen but I still did not like it so I went back and added some more dimension and got the following card,........................

Using crafters Workshop Stencils and Golden Heavy Body Acrylic paints I got the final card and I do enjoy this one. The layers take away the Blah!

Hope to not get behind again.

Matthew's Birthday

Matthew's Birthday was yesterday.  I had trouble deciding what card to make him. I tried a whole  lot of different things but it wasn't until I remembered my Billy PCS stamps that I finally got an idea.

Stamped the card with Cobalt Archival Ink using Hero Arts background stamp Clouds. Used archival black ink to stamp the superhero and sidekick dog stamps from Pink Cat Studio.  Used Dewert inktense pencils to colour the characters I put the letters SM on the boy for Super Matthew and an E on the dog for Echo (our dog). The raised cloud was made first by  using Tim Holtz embossing folder than cut using Sizzix Cloud die. I then distress the cloud using Tim Holtz Distress Ink Broken China. I thinkit turned out pretty nice.

Ashley made a Cupcake Cake for him

It is chocolate and very delicious!

Finished the Canvas!!

I have been busy working on the cat canvas. I was making the canvas for my friend's grandchild and thought  I had a few more weeks but he decided to arrive early. I wanted to get it done this week and I did get it finished.  I now finally have a chance to return to my blog. So here is the final picture.

The flowers are made from fabric using Sizzix Dies and Buttons. I used zippers, ribbon and rick rack for the stems. The birds are painted wood veneer, the butterflies are made out of fabric and cut using a Sizzix Die the body are beads. The other bugs are buttons.

On with my next Canvas..............................

CanvasPeek #2

To my canvas I have added the cat which is made with a fabric sandwich (fabric batting fabric) and the stalk of the flowers which are made with half a zipper, ribbon and rick rack. They are all stitched on. Not sure how I will make the flowers I would like to try some new styles.   I am hoping to get this canvas finished by Friday.

I am getting it done and having a ball! Creativity is overflowing. I am off to bed now to dream off more Creations. Have a great night.

Home - Index Card #2

I got my second index card done on the theme of Home.

I used fiber paste for the grass and the moon cut from light molding paste. Both products were spread on the craft mat and left to dry. I coloured the grass using watercolour paints, the moon was coloured with Viva Sunny Yellow Pearl Pen and made the stars with Viva Yellow Quartz Glitter Liner

When I started this card I sort of new what I wanted to do but as I made it I just kept adding and it became its own. What fun!

Art journal

I finished my page of the art journal today

I liked they way it looks. I used PTT pens  to outline the letters and added some watercolour to the bottom of the page. I am satisfied. Boy when I do my journal first thing in morning I an buzzed for the rest of the day to create.

Matt's Graduation Card

I made Matt his graduation card and here it is:

I inked the embossing folder before I embossed and I really liked the way the ink appeared. I cut out the graduates and popped them up. (I love to cut out)
