Feeling Good

I have been asked to make 10 more Faux Leather Journals. I am very excited!!  This means someone other than family or friends actually likes something I made and will buy them.  I feel  real good.

Have so much I want to do and not enough time to do it. Little things like eating and housework get in the way Ha! Ha! Something has to give, I know .... Housework!

Learning to Carve Stamps

At the class I went to last weekend one of the girls there told me she was doing a Stamp Carving Class online by Julie Fei Fan Balzer. I have always wanted to learn how so... I looked it up and since I had all the products decided to do the course. My first class resulted in a heart.

Really enjoyed doing the carving, feels good when accomplish something you have always wanted to do!

The second class was Striped Set. A little more complicated but I was able to accomplished it some what.

I am looking forward to the next class......

Great Classes This Weekend

Did three classes at The Paperie taught by Sara Case Strickland this weekend.
There was a card class cannot show you the cards. I enjoyed doing them and learned a lot from the but not my best work.
The second class was a technique class where we used all kinds of products.....paint, mutlimedium, vaseline, distress stains and perfect pearls. It was a lot of fun and a lot of interesting products used in different ways.
The third class was a Mini Christmas Album using Tim Holt products. This was a great class very interesting and inspiring.
Sara is a fantastic instructor every class I do with her I learn so much!!!

Below is the Mini Christmas Album I did

New Years Resolution

I have decided to try and write in my blog at least once a week or more. Hopefully I will have new projects to show each week and it will get my butt going.

Here are some of my art projects I have accomplished it the last 4 months....

My Art Book....

The Front

The Back
This was a book I found at Staples which had a brown paper cover. I painted it with gesso used a  stencil and added moulding paste to give a raised effect for the front.  Then I added paper, gel medium and paint and designed this book cover.  It was a very liberating! I just played freely with the products also did the inside covers....

My Second Canvas....

Jelly Bean Row

I also like to use fabric like a canvas.....  To Michelle

I used a heavy weight canvas -- wrote an angel poem and then a letter to Michelle from me. Then using gel medium burnished her pictures on top. I sandwiched it with batting and quilted it. I used Adirondack  Colour Wash, pastels, stickles and stamps. I bound it so I can put it on the wall in my bedroom. It was very therapeutic making a remembrance to Michelle.

I am so looking forward to doing a lot more Art............
