Expression Through My Art Journal

Ecclesiastes 3: 1-15

Everything Has Its Time

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:
a time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
a time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up;
a time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
a time to throw away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to seek, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to throw away;
a time to tear, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
a time to love, and a time to hate;
a time for war, and a time for peace.

This has been a hard emotional week. I read the above passage at Doug's funeral. I am not a religious person but very spiritual. This bible passage is so moving I think I will always keep it with me.

In our immediate we have lost three family members and I found myself having to express this through my Art Journal. I find that Art helps a lot.

These three people, my daughter Michelle, my Dad(Pop) and my Brother in Law Doug will always be missed. I will just find yet another new path to follow. Isn't there a saying "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger". I am starting to get my strength and with the help of my passion for art, my family and my friends. I will be stronger.

Hope all is going well with you and remember Art is a healer.

Take Care
Marg

  2. That is one of my favorite passages from the Bible...it applies to so much as you move through a lifetime. I, too, am not religious but very spiritual and find a lot of inspiration in those words. What a wonderful tribute to your loved ones through your art! And I agree with Sara, hope our craziness helped! xoxo Liz
