Ecclesiastes 3: 1-15
Everything Has Its Time
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:
a time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
a time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up;
a time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
a time to throw away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to seek, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to throw away;
a time to tear, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
a time to love, and a time to hate;
a time for war, and a time for peace.
a time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
a time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up;
a time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
a time to throw away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to seek, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to throw away;
a time to tear, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
a time to love, and a time to hate;
a time for war, and a time for peace.
This has been a hard emotional week. I read the above passage at Doug's funeral. I am not a religious person but very spiritual. This bible passage is so moving I think I will always keep it with me.
In our immediate we have lost three family members and I found myself having to express this through my Art Journal. I find that Art helps a lot.
Hope all is going well with you and remember Art is a healer.
Take Care
Marg
We love you Marg! And if our craziness helped even a little last night then it's all good! :)
ReplyDeleteLove you guys. Having friends like you helps so much. When times are hard a good laugh helps the healing process for me. Thanks:)
DeleteThat is one of my favorite passages from the Bible...it applies to so much as you move through a lifetime. I, too, am not religious but very spiritual and find a lot of inspiration in those words. What a wonderful tribute to your loved ones through your art! And I agree with Sara, hope our craziness helped! xoxo Liz
